Favorite Course(s)
Tuthill Park is my course of choice. Big Sioux is a great course, also. Pioneer Park if you want to work on your up shots.
About Me:
I'm always down for a round of golf - more of a technical golfer. I play a courteous game with professionalism in mind. I prefer longer courses with long par 4s. I enjoy teaching others about disc golf and the benefits it has to offer.

My disc of choice: KC Pro Roc.

I think changing up the course is getting a little ahead of ourselves in this case, as we do not even have the teepads for the second 9 in yet. I know that will be Jason's main priority this year. I've had a few thoughts on adding holes along the entrance drive area between the road and the houses. Also over across the river (on the big hill there is easily room for 18 holes - but there area also other users of the park that like to have that area to themselves). One problem is that I know the park manager, Jason Bauman, has put alot into the course the last 3-4 years, and probably wants to be done with it for a couple years.

Jason has been saying he would be open to having a hole go across the river for a tournament. It really might as well be two holes. We would just need to have him rough in teeing and temp basket areas on each side of the bridge. We should really look at doing this for at least one tournament this year.

That's great you want to run a c-tier!! I'm going to be stepping back from that for awhile for a variety of reasons. Mainly, I just want to see some new people getting involved in running tournaments around here - beyond Brady and Doug. It is really not that difficult, or a whole lot of work if your an organized person. Maybe you and I should get together with Jason so I can introduce you to him and mention you are interested in running tournaments, and possibly helping out with the course.

Regarding Big Sioux maintainence - Jason Bauman is the park manager, and the person that has worked on, and is in charge of the course. He does have 3-4 staff people each summer that get work assignments on the course -mowing, picking up wood/debris from flooding, etc., but Jason has always done the majority of the work (I also put in well over 100 hours out there the year we roughed in the 18 new holes - I was still on night shift then).

It's about time we were real friends!! Just kidding. I'm glad to see you getting so involved in the Brandon scene. Hopefully they can put another course at McHardy. Let me know if you need any help or have any general questions about course design and such.
